Laura Sharp Wilson
Laura Sharp Wilson is a painter, sculptor, installation and public artist living in Salt Lake City, Utah. The artist was included in the group exhibition “In the Heat of the Moment” at McKenzie Fine Art in New York this past August. Laura completed a mural commission in South Salt Lake for Dakota Pacific in July. Her terrazzo floor design “Thread, Trail, Rope and Yarn” can be seen at the Eccles Theater in downtown SLC. Currently, Laura is curating “Liten” a group exhibition of artists from across the country, opening at Bountiful Davis Art Center on September 27. Laura Sharp Wilson received a BFA in fine art from Carnegie Mellon University, served as an apprentice at the Fabric Workshop in Philadelphia and completed her MFA at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
