Maddie was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley and attended college at the Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI) after winning the National K-12 Artistic Merit Award, Scholastic Scholarship, and the KCAI Merit Scholarship. While there, she worked towards a double-major in Art History and Illustration before working a summer internship in Santa Fe. Within the past year, she has started her professional career and participated in multiple art shows. She also won the Craft Lake City Scholarship, which allowed her to display her work at an art festival for the first time.

Maddie works in an incredibly small scale, with her designs typically measuring about 4 inches across. She recently finished a series of 30 floral pieces with the intention of refining and challenging her penmanship. These floral designs have been showcased throughout Utah and are currently on display at the Waterford School. Maddie is working on another small scale series for the Wasatch Studio Tour, which will include architecture and cityscapes from the Salt Lake Valley and various parts of the Southwest.
